A Grainger's Worcester oviform ewer
Circa 1895, printed shield mark in brown, shape G/538
Painted by James Stinton with a pheasant, cock and hen in scrub, signed, the reverse with a lesser vignette of wild grasses, between blush-ivory sections, with an elaborate scroll handle and pierced scroll and leaf-moulded spout, the stem moulded with an egg-and-dart knop, the circular foot with similar ornament, on a square base with canted corners (the neck and spout restored)
