A Derby Crown Porcelain Co. plate Circa 1880, impressed DERBY, inscribed Designed and Executed by Geo. F. Lambert. Derby. in iron-red script
Decorated in the Islamic taste, the centre with a buff-coloured ground, within a seeded gilt roundel enamelled and gilt with demi flower-heads, the claret-ground border reserved with leaf-shaped panels enamelled and paste-gilded with flowers and scrolling foliage between geometric bud ornament, within a beaded rim (some light rubbing to gilt rim)
9¼ in. (23.5 cm.) diam.
