Circa 1910, printed crowned marks in green, gilt shape numbers V.5140/R/M/S129.
Each painted by E.O. Ball with lakeland views, one titled Loch Lomond, both signed, within lobed oval cartouches gilt with scrolls issuing foliage, the reverse with a spray of flowers within a lesser shield-shaped cartouche, between pale-yellow ground sections gilt with C-scrolls issuing leaves, with richly-gilt spear-head finials and leaf-moulded scroll handles (one finial broken and restuck and the cover ground down to the base)
