A pair of Sèvres-style white biscuit allegorical groups
Late 19th century, incised numerals and signature and imitation Sèvres marks, each inscribed Lagneau
Probably emblematic of Time and History, the first with the winged figure of Father Time holding an inscribed scroll, seated on clouds and rockwork above three female figures, the second with a female figure in flowing robes, above an open book supported on the back of Father Time with two female figures in attendance, on rocky mounds above circular guilloche pattern bases (some minor damage and restoration)
