A pair of Paris (Jacob Petit) flower-encrusted two-handled inverted baluster vases and covers
Circa 1840, JP monogram in blue, enamelled blue crossed swords marks
In the Dresden style, the handles formed as entwined branches terminating in pompoms with canaries, finches and humming birds perched amongst them, the ground encrusted with densely-packed white flower-heads, each cone finial formed as an elaborate spray of garden flowers (some minor restoration to birds and chipping to flowers, light rubbing to gilding)
