Two German porcelain ewers
Circa 1880, blue JR monogram marks
The cylindrical bodies moulded with continuous scenes of putti at various pursuits in a river with reeds and dolphins, the gadrooned lower parts supported by three mermaids on square plinth bases with concave canted corners, each waisted spirally-fluted neck applied with a putto riding a seahorse below the shell-moulded lip, the scrolling handles each moulded with a satyr below a pierced oval aperture and a putto pouring wine from a jug (one with chip to lower gadrooned part)
