A Meissen group of a youth and companion
Early 20th century, blue crossed swords mark, incised G.91., Pressnummer 35, painted numeral 82 in green
He wears a red coat and purple striped breeches, she wears a blue bodice, tan apron, her overskirt painted with flower-sprays, modelled standing and seated garlanding a bird cage on a tree stump, a bird in a nest on top, another hiding in the roots of the tree, a basket of flowers to one side, on an oval base moulded with a pink and turquoise stiff-leaf band (some minor chipping and overpainting)
