A Meissen two-handled oviform vase
Circa 1900, blue crossed swords mark above 29., impressed shape E 116, Pressnummer 20
The white and gilt scrolling twin serpent handles issuing from acanthus and resting on an egg-and-dart rim enriched in burnished and matt gilt, painted with loose sprays of flowers between dark-blue-ground sections, the neck moulded in white and edged with a wave-pattern band, the lower part gadrooned, on a waisted stem and spreading circular foot
