A large Meissen group of Count Brühl's tailor riding a goat
Circa 1880, blue crossed swords mark, incised 107, Pressnummer 58
The tailor wearing a pince-nez and a black tricorn hat, a fine gilt-edged white longcoat, the yellow cuffs and his partially un-buttoned waistcoat embellished with flowers and scrolling foliage, red breeches and black boots, a rule to his left side and a black satchel over-flowing with cloth and buttons slung from his shoulder on a blue sash with the insignia of his trade, balls of yarn about his neck, riding a goat with a shaggy white coat with black markings, an iron and an over-sized pair of scissors lodged on its horns, pouches about its neck and a pin-cushion on a black strap to its behind (goat's right horn partially lacking, shallow chip to tricorn hat, minor chipping to pins, cloths and saddle)
