Unused on cover / entire letter 1855 (6 April) entire letter from Reunion to Karikal, showing very fine strike of the black framed "KARIKAL/Bearing" (with date "11 5 55" inserted in manuscript) on reverse, "ST. DENIS" despatch d.s. and "PONDICHERRY" transit d.s. on front; light filing fold crosses the first marking but in no way detracts from this fine and very rare item. Photo
