FIVE VILLANOVAN IMPASTO VESSELS
Circa Late 8th-7th Century B.C.
Including a jug from North Etruria, perhaps Bologna, with a squat body, trumpet-shaped neck and broad bridged handle with protruding rotellae, the body finely incised with a band of checker-pattern framed by triangles topped with dotted circles; a kantharos from South Etruria or Latium, each side with pointed protrusions framed by arching flutes, an impressed rosette to either side, with bronze pins inlaid in between and on the handles; a footed kantharos, perhaps from Bolsena, with rouletted meander on the shoulders; a kantharos with knobbed shoulders; and a footed bowl with pronounced knobs
