FIVE ETRUSCAN BUCCHERO VESSELS
Circa Late 7th-6th Century B.C.
Including a kyathos, its lower body fluted, the neck with a frieze of three prancing horses cut out in shallow relief and preserving some traces of red pigment, the high handle with elongated triangles cut in similar fashion and also preserving red pigment; an alabastron of long slender form, the body with three sets of three incised bands; a ribbon-handled amphora, the biconical body on a disk foot, the flat handles merging with the flaring lip, the body with two horizontal bands of vertical notches framing highly stylized incised birds, the handles carved in an openwork pattern with two griffins; a kantharos with high handles, a notched ridge at the base of the exterior, an incised star with rays on the interior; and a kyathos with a profiled bowl and a high handle which becomes broader and angular at its peak, molded with a facing head on the interior where it joins the rim, enhanced by incision
