THREE ROMAN GLASS VESSELS
Circa 1st-4th Century A.D.
Including a mold-blown bottle, circa 1st century A.D., aubergine in color with transparent streaks, the body with a band of scrolling, tongues above and below, the cylindrical neck free-blown, the rim folded out then in, with applied twin handles; a double-head flask, circa 3rd century A.D., light amber in color, mold-blown, with a similar chubby child-like face on either side, with curly hair and wide features, the cylindrical neck free-blown, the rim folded out then in; and a jug, circa 4th century A.D., pale yellow-green in color, free-blown, the piriform body with an applied ring at the neck, the flaring mouth with an applied ring on the outside of the rim, on a flaring foot, the handle terminating in a thumbrest
