A SYRO-PALESTINIAN BRONZE COUPLE
Circa Late 3rd-Early 2nd Millennium B.C.
Depicting a god and goddess, the flat-cast group with round bare heads, circular eyes and prominent flat noses, joined at the hips and sharing a single shaft for the lower portions of their bodies, the god, the larger of the two, depicted ithyphallic, the goddess holding her left arm to her abdomen below her breasts, the two touching hands
