A CORE-FORMED LENTOID ARYBALLOS
Eastern Mediterranean or Italian, Circa Mid to Late 4th Century B.C.
Dark blue in color, the flattened globular body with convex sides, the convex base between two rolled feet, with a tapering cylindrical neck and horizontal rim-disk, an applied opaque yellow (now appearing white) marvered thread wound spirally around the body, tooled into a feather pattern of vertical panels, with yellow around the rim, and twin lugs above rolled knobs along the shoulder
