A GREEK GOLD NECKLACE
Hellenistic Period, Circa 1st Century B.C.
Composed of fourteen tubular beads, each square in section, formed from folded sheet, seven six-lobed beads formed from sheet halves (one now in two pieces), and three club-shaped pendants, each with a hemisphere capping a spool with a band of small domes, framed by plain and beaded wire, with a tapering element below formed from three joined sheet cones, a band of domes framed by beaded wire at the base, the suspension loop with a band of beaded wire where it joins the hemisphere, the beads and pendants interspersed with small spherical beads
