Lot Essay

This design is very unusual for Mikhail M. Adamovich (1884-1947), who is known for agit and commemorative Soviet pieces. However there is another tea service decorated after similar design by the artist, now in the possession of the State Museum of Ceramics in Kuskovo.

Varvara P. Freze (1883-1970) worked at the State Porcelain Factory as an artist-painter and is known for painting colourful flower designs after S.V. Chekhorine and others.
