Three porcelain Easter Eggs
by the Imperial Porcelain Factory, St. Petersburg, late 19th century
One painted with a roundel of cherubs with a cross and wreath, within ciselé entrelac border on white ground decorated with a wide band of ciselé rose-trellis in similar foliate borders with plain gilt surrounds to the apertures, on later yellow ribbon; another, with gilt and rose garland cypher of Maria Feodorovna on white ground in octagonal gilt border the reverse with a flower filled urn in similar surround, on a wide blue band, with gilt foliate border above and below, on later green ribbon; a smaller example with gilt X.B. on opalescent ground, all apparently unmarked
