The body engraved with a view of Franckfort (sic), the sun, moon and stars, birds, a fort, a river, men-of-war, a settler and his wife, and a townscape over the name 'Abner Dawes', below the nozzle a heart-shaped panel inscribed 'Mtchael (sic) Mezger.1762', some of the engraving picked out in vermilion, the base originally fitted with a wooden plug secured by numerous wooden pins (nozzle reduced)
