With swamped four-stage barrel finely chiselled in relief with bands of acanthus foliage and on the breech with a grotesque mask and foliage overlapping the barrel tang, rounded border engraved lock finely engraved and chiselled in relief with further acanthus foliage, later moulded figured walnut full stock with folding butt, steel mounts chiselled en suite with the barrel and lock, associated serpentine side-plate, and iron-capped ramrod
