With sighted barrel cut with sixteen grooves and stamped 'CV' at the breech, the tang incorporating the block back-sight, flat lock with rounded tail, ring-cock and brass pan, walnut stock with raised cheek-piece and stamped 'Vaud 63', iron mounts including three sprung barrel-bands, the forward one incorporating the fore-sight and forming the ramrod entry, sling swivels, and brass-tipped iron ramrod, Liège proof, together with socket bayonet
