A 50-BORE FLINTLOCK TURN-OFF PISTOL
Circa 1660
With rifled two-stage turn-off cannon barrel with pronounced moulding at the muzzle, octagonal then polygonal breech retaining traces of engraving, rounded lock engraved with foliage, the cock with small safety-catch automatically released at full cock, walnut butt with raised moulding at the barrel tang (minor defects), iron scroll side-plate and spurred pommel, the latter retaining traces of engraving, and exposed button trigger (iron parts pitted), London proof marks
