A CASED PAIR OF 22-BORE FLINTLOCK DUELLING PISTOLS

With swamped twist octagonal sighted barrels, patent breeches each with gold line, gold-lined maker's stamp and touch-hole, signed flat border engraved detented locks each with engraved stepped tail, safety-catch, roller, and raised pan (one cock replaced), figured walnut full stocks (each fore-stock a working replacement), engraved iron mounts including trigger-guards each with pineapple finial, chequered butts apart from a plain strip on each side, set triggers, and horn-tipped ramrods each with worm: in fitted mahogany case lined in blue velvet with some accessories and trade label of James Wilkinson & Son, No. 12, Ludgate Hill for circa 1820-30, London proof marks
