A 25-BORE ITALIAN (PROBABLY BRECIAN) FLINTLOCK PISTOL
Signed Vincenz (sic) Rossi and dated 1806
With two-stage barrel stamped 'A. Torticlione' (sic) on the breech and with gold-lined mark at the rear, rounded lightly engraved lock signed and dated inside and with brass pan (top jaw and screw missing), moulded lightly carved figured walnut full stock, iron mounts including spurred pommel and later side-plate, pierced and chiselled trigger, and original horn-tipped ramrod with worm (minor defects, iron parts with later blued finish)
