Late 16th Century
Of slender curved faceted oval form with two suspension-rings, rising to a tapering baluster nozzle on a rectangular base housing the sprung cut-off, the body with encrusted silver decoration of swags, floral sprays, a putto-mask, strapwork, and female figures bearing palm sprays and a laurel wreath, the base with radially fluted cap secured by a silver-inlaid bolt with slotted head (some wear and surface pitting)

The decoration is reminiscent of that on armour of the so-called 'Louvre' school, and is probably based on designs by Etienne Delaune
