Adams Vaido was advertised initially from 1910-1916. The editor of the Almanac was fulsome in his praise of the camera congratulating the makers for thinking about the cameras use from the photographers viewpoint: 'the makers have provided an instrument without a single loose part, [that] is light, compact, and simple, yet capable of responding to the most extreme claims of the photographer'. The camera was fitted with a revolving back, Idento finder, rising front and long bellows extension. Two models were offered, the A with front shutter and model B with an Adams Minex self-capping shutter.
The camera was to appear after the war and a new model with Minex focal-plane shutter was introduced in 1928 and the following year general improvements to the design were revealed as well as a tropical model.
