Levels: bottom neck or better
Tasted 2001 Fully mature red, with a strong tawny hue. A tremendously spicy nose, really rich and dense, quite incredible. The bouquet promises and the palate delivers! This is as finer Lafite as your ever likely to taste. Beautifully rounded, the balance is perfect; long smooth, slight dryness, tannins still holding, lovely fruit. Just superb. It's interesting to note that at the time production was only around 5,000 cases. DW
