A pair of dove-grey suede stiletto-heeled shoes made in Italy by Ferragamo, both shoes stamped on the insole in gilt with maker's details and additionally inscribed inside in an unidentified hand in black ink AL8169 7½B 111; accompanied by a typescript letter, signed, concerning the provenance from Anna Strasberg, dated June 11th, 1987, to Father George W. Moore, St. Malachy's Church, 239 West 49th St, New York, asking him to ...accept this letter as a Deed of Gift whereby I transfer, assign and deliver...a pair of grey suede shoes (3 inch heel, size 7½B, label Ferragamos) from the personal effects of Marilyn Monroe. Under the last will and testament of Marilyn Monroe, all of her personal effects and clothing were given to my late husband, Lee Strasberg... 1p. the letter additionally signed by Father Moore by way of a receipt and accompanied by the corresponding envelope (2)
