Twenty three Copeland porcelain royal armorial dishes
Second half 19th century, variously marked and incised
The white ground gilt and painted in colours with the crowned coat-of-arms of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha depicting a lion rampant upon a crown encircled by the Garter inscribed Honni soit qui mal y pense, the rim with a dark blue band between gilt lines, comprising: eleven deep dishes, 25.5 cm. diam.; twelve dishes, 25.2 cm. diam.
