Late Meiji Period
carved standing on rockwork beside a ferocious tiger at his feet and a coiled dragon around his shoulders, wearing long flowing robes and cloth hat incised and painted with geometric designs, holding an open scroll, mounted on a wood stand with attached brass fittings for electricity -- 26 5/8in. (67.5cm.) high overall, (minor rubbing).
