A French gilt-brass and champlevé enamel striking and repeating carriage clock, circa 1890
The anglaise riche case with Corinthian columns and Greek key handle, with floral filigree mask and conforming centre to a silvered chapter ring with Arabic circlets, blued steel hands, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to lever escapement with a bimetallic balance, strike/repeat on gong to back plate punched for E. Maurice & Co. and numbered 4686 -- 6¼in. (16cm.) high to hilt of handle
