A French gilt-bronze and porcelain-mounted striking mantel clock and garniture, circa 1880
The case elaborately cast with grapes and vine leaves, with covered urn finial and figures of bacchantes to the front, the sides with Sèvres style painted porcelain panels decorated with flowers, the conforming dial with Roman chapters and painted with cherubs, gilt spade hands, the twin barrel movement with countwheel strike on bell, the back plate punched for HERSANT PARIS -- 11¾in. (30cm.) high; and the pair of four-light candelabra en suite -- 10¼in. (26cm.) high (3)
