An Empire ormolu striking urn clock, circa 1810
Modelled as an urn cast in relief with an Apollo mask and with crossed torch and quiver, the handles terminating in grotesque mounts, with milled socle and stepped plinth with lanceolate leaf cast gallery, the white enamel Roman dial with Arabic quarters and steel moon hands, the twin barrel movement with silk suspension and countwheel strike on bell -- 17¼in. (44cm.) high
