A French gilt-brass and porcelain-mounted striking mantel clock, circa 1880
The Egyptian revival case with painted porcelain urn finial depicting an Egyptian face, with conforming oval panel to the base below, scroll side mounts cast with Greek key designs, with claw and toupie feet, the porcelain dial with gilt Roman chapter ring and black painted centre, gilt spade hands, the twin barrel movement with countwheel strike on bell -- 15¾in. (40cm.) high
