A French ormolu and porcelain-mounted striking pendule a cercles tournants, mid 19th century
The vase-shaped case with pineapple finial and handles terminating in bearded masks, an entwined serpent with arrow in its jaws indicating the time on two revolving rings applied with enamel chapters, the base applied with Sèvres style florally painted oval plaques, with doors to front and rear, the twin barrel movement with gearing to the dials above and countwheel strike on bell, stamped A.WEYGAND/PARIS -- 15¼in. (38.5cm.) high
