The hood with brass ball and spire finials to a wavy arch cresting, glazed circular side panels, the canted and reeded front angles with brass top fluting, with shallow arched trunk door with moulded frame, on plinth with moulded panel with concave cut corners, the 12in. diameter white painted Roman dial with subsidiary seconds and date rings to the centre, signed Gudgeon, Jun.r Bury, pierced blued steel hands, with falseplate to the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 84in. (214cm.) high
