The engine-turned case with polygonal handle and knop finials, with plain columns and on faceted feet, shuttered detachable rear door, the silvered Roman dial with recessed subsidiary seconds at XII, blued steel moon hands, the single chain fusee movement with gilt platform to steel three arm balance with underslung lever escapement, signed on the back plate E. White/20 Cockspur Street/LONDON/No.686 -- 5in. (12.5cm.) high to hilt of handle
