A Regency mahogany quarter-chiming bracket clock, circa 1820
The case with brass pineapple finial to a chamfer top, ripple cornice and base mouldings, with brass handles above fishscale sound frets to the sides, brass-lined fielded panels to the front, on brass ball feet, the white painted Roman convex dial with strike/silent at XII, pierced brass hands, the triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, quarter chiming on eight bells and hour striking on further bell, signed on the back plate J & A McNab/PERTH, with pendulum holdfast -- 20¼in. (51.5cm.) high
