We are grateful to Dr. Dario Succi for confirming the attribution on the basis of a transparency and for suggesting a date of circa 1790. A late work, the view corresponds with a picture formerly in the Stramezzi collection, Cremona, given by Antonio Morassi to Giacomo Guardi (see A. Morassi, Guardi, Venice, 1973, II, pl. 927).
