An English delft blue and white wet-drug jar
Early 18th century, probably London
Of globular form with short knopped spout, named for S:DE.CORT:C: within a strapwork cartouche with a basket of fruit flanked by two songbirds above and a winged cherub's head suspending swags of fruit and tassels below, on a circular spreading foot (extensively damaged and repaired)
7¼ in. (18.4 cm.) high
