A collection of approximately sixty books from the actor's personal library including titles that were later made into Colman films and copies that were signed by him or to him by authors, friends and family members. Some highlights are "If I Were King" with an ownership inscription reading Colman 1003 Summit Drive, "Clive" inscribed For Ronald Colman/in Admiration/R.J. Minney/Hollywood 12th Sept. '34, "Bulldog Drummond" inscribed To Ronald Colman/In the hopes that some/day, not too far distant, our/acquaintance will not be limited/to screen and book./Sincerely yours/H.C. McNeil/'Sapper'/Nov. '34, "Random Harvest," "Beau Geste," "Under Two Flags" and "Cynara" among many others. Also included are two books inscribed to Douglas Fairbanks and one inscribed to Irving Thalberg (likely copies that were loaned to Colman) and a six volume set of leather-bound books titled "Collection of British Authors" with R.C. stamped in gold-leaf on the covers.
