A NORTH ITALIAN GILTWOOD MIRROR
First half 18th Century, probably Florence
The rectangular later bevelled plate in a profusely carved frame festooned with putti, fruit and foliage, the upper edge centred by a putto bearing a spear riding an eagle, the lower edge with two playing putti, with paper label attached to the rear inscribed 'ogi Co. Anto..elli', regilt, possibly originally a picture frame
52 x 60 in. (132 x 152.5 cm.)
