The case with lacquered brass handle to the bell top flanked by four pineapple finials, fishscale-pierced brass frets to the sides, the base with a carved apron and resting on brass bracket feet, the dial signed Joseph Clark London on a recessed silvered sector in the matted centre with calendar aperture, silvered chapter ring with pierced blued steel hands, foliate spandrels, strike/silent ring in the arch, the movement with five pillars, twin wire fusees, later anchor escapement and strike on a bell above the plates, the back plate engraved with scrolling foliage
