Lot Essay

The burr-walnut veneers on the present clock are of notably high quality and comparison may be made between it and a fine Quare walnut month-going longcase formerly in the Wetherfield Collection. See Eric Bruton The Wetherfield Collection of Clocks, NAG Press, 1981, p.181.
