A MATCHED PAIR OF LATE LOUIS XV ORMOLU CARTEL CLOCK AND BAROMETER
Each with a white enamel, the clock dial with Roman and Arabic chapters and signed PATÉ A PARIS, with a silk-suspended movement, within a cartouche-shaped case surmounted by an urn draped with berried-laurel swags, the base flanked by espagnolette heads and acanthus leaves, above a glazed reserve with an acanthus-sheathed base and waisted leaf-and-acorn bundle, the barometer with a 19th century dial and probably originally a cartel clock
