Lot Essay

The original park, in formal style, dates back to 1769. Little attention was paid to the park, until the Zochers, famous Dutch landscape artists, restructured the park in 1856. Since they had created a park nearby, which they had named the New Plantation, it was only fitting that it's, now renewed, predecessor would be called The Old Plantation.
