Whatman, trimmed within platemark, five (approx. ¼-in.) tears in the heron's body, three (approx ½-in.) repaired tears (touched-in) in the blue background, several tears along the margin edges (some extending into the image and some partially restored or touched-in), the title text information re-attached and backed, hinged with Japon along the reverse of the margin edges, otherwise generally in good condition, framed
