Caption: "The Delaware River provided a rich habitat for ducks such as pintails, mallards, teal, widgeon and black ducks. John Blair is considered to be the most important of the Delaware River makers. A carriage maker and sportsman, Blair supplied vehicles to prominent Philadelphians in the years following the Civil War, and became the most notable of the area's decoy maker."
