With barbed and lobed galleried rim above a blue diaper pattern center inset with six circular depressions left white and decorated with iron-red and gilt butterflies and blossoms

Lot Essay

Heavily potted and evidently a tray to hold small bowls or cups for sweetmeats or drink, this unusual form may have been popular for a short time at the turn of the 18th century in the Dutch or Flemish market.
