Circa 1765, gold anchor mark, painted in the atelier of James Giles
Painted with an exotic pheasant perched on a gilt branch, the border painted with typical Giles flowers alternate with a gilt insect on a Mazarine-blue ground reserved within the mechlenburg-strelitz type cartouches extending into a scalloped rim
